Verbascum

Mullein (Verbascum densifolium) (fr. Molène ou Bouillon blanc) is a tall plant that likes to grow on dry barren ground where little else will grow. It takes full advantage of this solitude by forming a wide basal rosette (a crown of leaves on the ground) of very soft, hairy leaves, and in this season grows a long, erect inflorescence of flowers. These flowers are also very soft and slightly hairy.

The flowers are very effective to relieve all sorts of respiratory ailments, such as asthma, bronchitis, smoker’s cough, when taken in tea or smoked.

cobbing the cabanita

the cabanita is progressing swimmingly and I hope to be finished with it in about a weeks time. I have made this video to demonstrate the basic cobbing process.
